A cold winters night

The cold is creeping near
Being intimate with your spine
A chill going over the skin
The skin over your whole body

The grey sky wrinkle its' face
As if it sees something that's wrong
And you only see how dull it is
As you walk home this afternoon

Your home is so empty
You can almost hear the echo of the walls
As you light up a lonely candle
And walk out to the messy kitchen

Voices of joy speaks calmly
As two pair of hands holds their cup of tea
Laughing with each other
As you take a sip of the warmth

The sky bursts into million tones
The laugh chase away the loneness
And you feel happy seeing your friend,
you havn't seen in so many years

In a cold winter night
